I can not find more than one or two traits per game (including rerolls you have to watch ads for) that increase damage or give you regen.
If you don't pay to increase your players at a certain point it no longer is a fun game You either need to buy increases so your damage is massive or play for many hours to move the needle. The only way to defeat it is to know exactly the opponents distance, timing and damage for every move you make.
